The objective of coaching is to help you achieve your goals. The basic presumption of coaching is that you are in a good place mentally and emotionally, and are ready to receive guidance and instruction on how to make changes that will help you achieve your goals. The work focuses on creating and maintaining motivation, exploring obstacles, and creating plans for change.
Coaching is not Therapy
Coaching has some of the same characteristics and origins as counseling but does not seek to resolve the deeper underlying issues that are the cause of such things as low self-esteem, loss of confidence etc.
Sometimes you are able to work through your own issues but don’t quite feel better about life because your self-esteem or confidence is low which can make participating in everyday life difficult. Coaching helps you gain that confidence and enables you to live life fully again.
